Upcycling DIY: Colorful Pencil Holders
Make colorful pencil holders out of empty jars - they not only look great, but also encourage kids to be creative and make cleanup easier.
Materials for colorful pencil holders
You'll need the following materials:
- Empty, clean Alete jars, including lids
- Acrylic paints
- Paintbrushes or cotton swabs
Craft Instructions
Here's how easy it is:
- First, remove the labels in a warm water bath, then dry the jars thoroughly
- Fill the jars with acrylic paint, close them tightly, and shake vigorously until the paint is evenly distributed
- Place the jars upside down so that excess paint collects in the lids
- Let the jars sit upside down on their lids for about 24 hours
- Then unscrew the lids and let the jars dry for another 2 days
- Optional: Decorate the jars as you like and add the finishing touches
