DIY Upcycled Tulips in a Glass Jar
Spring is just around the corner: Spruce up your home or treat your loved ones to homemade tulip decorations in a jar. A project for all ages that brings the joy and colors of spring right to you. It works with other bulb flowers, too.
Here's what you'll need for our upcycled tulip jar project
You'll need the following materials:
- Empty Alete jars
- Tulips with bulbs
- Moss and straw for filling
- Liquid wax (e.g., leftover tea lights or candles)
- Ribbon
- Tray or cooling rack
Craft Instructions
Here's how it works:
- Melt the leftover candle wax in a small pot and clean the flower bulbs in a little water
- Carefully dip the flower bulbs several times into the liquid wax (Tip: The more layers, the more intense the color.)
- The same goes for the small jars - dip them halfway or one-third of the way into the liquid wax
- Then fill the jars with the decorations of your choice and top off the jar with a bow
- Add the waxed bulbs, and your tulips in a jar are ready
Have fun making your own!
