Make Your Own Granola

You'll need the following ingredients:

  • 80 g hazelnuts, cashews, or other types of nuts - choose one or more types of nuts as you like!
(In our example, we’re using hazelnuts and coconuts)
  • 30 g coconut flakes or shredded coconut - whatever you prefer!
  • 1 tablespoon rice syrup, maple syrup, or honey
  • 20 g chia seeds
  • 50 g almond butter
  • 2 medium egg whites
  • Alete Kinderkeks Schoko

And also the following baking supplies:

  • Bowls
  • Baking sheet
  • Baking paper
  • Sharp knife

Here's how it works:

  • Preheat the oven to 150 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat. Chop the large nuts and cookies into small pieces—as large or small as you’d like them in your granola.
  • Mix the chopped nuts with the cookies, coconut flakes, and chia seeds.
  • Gently melt the almond butter with rice syrup, maple syrup, or honey, and stir well so the mixture can be evenly distributed over the nut mixture.
  • Mix everything together well and knead the granola mixture again with your hands. Spread it out on the baking sheet and press it firmly into a flat layer.
  • Bake the granola for about 20 minutes until thoroughly cooked. The edges of the slab should start to darken slightly (but not too dark!). Remove from the oven, let cool, and break into pieces.

Enjoy!
