Look, remember, find it again!

A memory game helps improve concentration and adds plenty of excitement when the wrong card is suddenly turned over.

It’s a game that works for the whole family, no matter how old the players are. And very often, the little ones are the real stars here and the beaming winners.

Instructions for the Alete Edition Memory Game

To get started:

  • First, print the template twice on paper or twice double-sided on cardstock. Then carefully cut along the edges, keeping in mind the saying, “Big helps small.” With the paper version, you can give an old Memory game a new lease on life by pasting these over it. With the cardstock version, you can start playing right away.

Here's how to play:

  • Setup: Shuffle all the cards and place them face down in rows.
  • Turning Over: The youngest player starts and turns over two cards.
  • Did you find a pair? If both cards show the same image, you get to keep them and take another turn right away.
  • No match? Then the cards are turned face down and placed back exactly where they were turned over, and it’s the next person’s turn.
  • Winner: The player who has collected the most pairs by the end wins the round. At the end of the game, compare your stacks and see which one is the tallest. The tallest stack wins the round!

Memory is perfect for short waiting periods, such as when you're on the go, at the doctor's office, or just for ten minutes here and there. Even a quick round is enough to give your full attention to the kids without having to set aside a lot of time.
